I became part of the Brass team during a crucial phase of the company's expansion. At that time, the product was in its minimum viable product (MVP) stage and had started gaining traction among Nigerian SMEs and MSMEs. However, the growth was relatively slow, and the product primarily focused on providing credit and a basic current account for receiving transaction payments. Brass recognized the need to enhance its offerings and develop an array of top-tier business tools to effectively compete with traditional banks in the market. The goal was to provide these businesses with more than just a current account, offering comprehensive support and empowering their growth.
